At St Martin's Head on Chapel Down there was originally 4 Cairns.

Only two are clearly visible nowadays, one under the very easy to see Day Mark and another just to it's west.

St Martin's Head Cairns submitted by Bladup : The Day Mark Cairn, Someone once suggested that the Day Mark isn't built on a far older Cairn, Not sure what they were looking at!!! As it's as clear a Cairn as you can get, It even has remaining kerbstones, and why would the day Mark builders build a mound for it? When there are cairns here that fulfil that role for them (1 comment)
