Duloe submitted by AngieLake This is the ginger cat that used to be the 'guardian' of Duloe circle. Spookily, it walked me to the circle and followed me around, then came over to see me off.... back in 05/06?
(That's the Eastern stone on the left, and what used to be the smallest stone, which puss is posing on [R], before someone placed an even smaller one next to it.)
St Cuby's Well (Duloe) submitted by AngieLake Another view of the old font that once held the waters of St. Cuby's Well.
"The stone bowl from the well originally had dolphins carved round the top but they were damaged when the bowl was stolen. On the sides are a snake facing a gryffin, which are not Christian images." (Quote from leaflet in St. Cuby's church.)

Noticed this comment in Modern Antiquarian website forum (though didn't read details), so had a quick look at photos taken on 2nd September, clearly showing the small stone which has been recently placed here. [..and I never noticed that day!]

('Bean' in Gaelic means 'Woman'.
There's no 'Beanstalk' in my little dictionary [;-)], but 'Beannachd' = 'Blessing').
How's that for a human-like stone, seemingly dressed in flowing priest[esses] robes?!
JackME is standing against the inner face here.
Duloe submitted by AngieLake Your first glimpse of the circle, over the gate into the field. The southern stone shows up really well from here when the sun shines on it.
Duloe submitted by AngieLake The 'way to go' to find Duloe Circle. (Just in case anyone is confused.) I'm sure there used to be a metal signpost on the opposite side of the road, but it's gone now.
We parked near the church, paid it a visit, then strolled down through the churchyard and out via a path and gate leading to the road back to the village. A few yards downhill cross over to this short lane to the field where Du

THE Cornwall UFO research Group is appealing for witnesses after a reported sighting of seven flying discs in South East Cornwall. Dave Gillham, founder of the group, said he wanted to know if other people had seen the phenomenon on July 25 at about 12.20am. He was contacted by three people who saw objects flying above seven standing stones near Duloe for about 20 minutes. Anyone who also saw the event can contact Mr Gillham through http://www.cornwall-ufo.co.uk/ | [ Reply to This ]
