Peña Tú
Peña Tú submitted by breadmaster : This is a truly spectacular find, a large carved rock perched upon the top of a mountain with a slight overhang that protects the exposed cave paintings from the weather... be warned - it's a long trek up from the car park! well worth it though. the kids complained all the way up but were speechless at the top :) (2 comments)

Peña Tu Vidiago
Peña Tu is a rock on a hill near Puertas de Vidiago, in the county of Llanes, province of Asturias. The strange dragon shape rock has always been known by the locals for its stounding location, its bizarre shape and the mysterious painted carvings found on the eastern side of the rock. The rock is situated in the Sierra de la Borbolla, and it is called Peñatu which means “the rock” in the asturian language. In Spanish it has often been written as two words as if the name was “Tu”, (altough it is just a suffix of the word: peña). The most interesting figure is a kind of stylised baby in a cradle next to a long object which looks like a knife. There are also 7 stigmen, one of them holding a cane. There are also lots of dots, some of them remind me of the stars, specially Orion and Cassiopeia. I was there on the 21 of December 2012.
