Long barrows all have only one tomb, built of supporting stones with a large stone as capstone. Around the chamber is built a mound of earth and stones. A chain of big or small kerbstones surround the mound. Two of the dolmens have particularly large stones, sternstones, at the ends.
The passage grave has a chamber of 10 supporting stones and a passage way. It's all covered by two capstones. The mound here has almost disappeared and no kerbstones has been found.
Of the three dolmens D presumably is the oldest, C's chamber with the passage way is a later type, probably built in the era of the passage-graves, just like A.
Chambers are reused for burials entirely to late passage-graves.
Long Barrow A has been excavated. The chamber is built of seven supporting stones and one large capstone. The gaps between stones are filled with fine stacked stone tiles. Such a "drywall", as it is called, has kept the chamber tight. At the bottom there was found grave artefacts and bones derived from multiple burials, but everyone from the era of the passage-graves. Outside all the grave chambers, near the kerbstones flint axes have been found.
They were probably placed here as offerings, as a part of a death cult, which was a common practice in the era of the late-passage-graves. As has been excavated many similar layers of offerings consisting of various graverelics and smashed pots, but in earlier times it only was examined what existed inside the grave chambers.
