St Nazaire Menhir
St Nazaire Menhir submitted by AlexHunger : About 3 Meter tall elongated Menhir in Saint-Nazaire park with 3 smaller stones and Menhir nearby. Place du Dolmen. (Vote or comment on this photo)
At the Place du Dolmen in central St Nazaire can be found this strange collection of megalithic stones. Several pieces rescued from the local area during development have been erected here in a sort of fantasy sculpture.

The collection has a large trilithon representation of a dolmen, more than 2 metres tall and a large 3 metre tall menhir stands nearby, with several other pieces of stone. This collection of megalithic stones is thought to have been assembled here in 1928. Additonal info by TheCaptain.

The dolmen and the menhir are not assembled pieces of a puzzle. They have always been here from the beginning.

In 1928, the menhir has been put up straight. If you don't believe me : http://saint-nazaire.hautetfort.com/archive/2012/12/08/le-dolmen-de-saint-nazaire.html

and you can also ask the French Drac which protects listed buildings or Monuments historiques
