The site is very interesting.
On Champ Chalon I there are five mounds.
Only four have been excavated and described by Roger Joussaume in "Les tumulus de Champ Chalon à Benon" published by Vendeen Study Group prehistoric.

Chalon Field I is part of a series of mounds around Benon : Champ-Chalon II, Biarnes, La Pointe , Mille Ecus, Moindreaux.

Unfortunately these sites are neglected by local authorities so they could be protected.
