Revised access and general information added by Drew Parsons after September 2012 visit: From Dundee drive east on the A92. Turn north on the B962 and 100 metres along this road there is a car park area from where a 190 metre gravel path leads you to the site. The site is thought to date from the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. Four hut sites were located around the souterrain with hut 4 having direct access to the chamber. The site sign (photos below) illustrate this. One of the stones used in the construction of the souterrain has a cup mark and is thought to date from around 2000 BC having been reused from a previous site.
