Anne T visited on 15th May 2019 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 4 Access: 3 Drizzlecombe 2: Having three stone rows, their cairns, cists and longstones all in a very close proximity was quite stunning. As we walked up and down this row with Sandy G and the rest of the Intrepid Dartmoor Expedition Group, I was barely able to take it all in - so much to see and understand. When we started off at the longstone at the western end of the row, there was blue sky and whispy clouds; by the time we'd wandered up to the cairn at the eastern end of the row, a mist/clag had started to descend, so the views from/around the stone row weren't quite as good as earlier, but the atmosphere of this place was just amazing. The longstone is a really peculiar shape. Butler, volume 3 of "Dartmoor Atlas of Antiquities", page 138, says "According to Worth, it was probably dragged here from Higher Hartor Tor, about a kilometre away".

SandyG visited on 7th Apr 2013 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 4 Access: 3 Car parking is available at SX 57887 67306. The row is about 1400m ESE of the car park across open moorland.

Drizzlecombe row 2
Drizzlecombe row 2 submitted by Brian Byng : View of what the natives call row C the one with the 14ft (4.3m) high terminal stone in Burls book page 114. The chinese graphic is on the largest stone that can be seen at the far end & is facing the camera. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Stone Row making up part of the Drizzlecombe complex on southwestern Dartmoor in Devon

Single stone row 83 metres in length on a northeast - southwest alignment. The row has a 4.2 metre tall longstone at the SW end, facing across the row, as a blocker. The row goes uphill to the uphill NE end where there is a small cairn surrounded by a nice ring of stone slabs, referred to here as the SSE circle.

Update July 2019: This stone row is recorded as Pastscape Monument No. 438619 and as part of the scheduling information for Historic England List ID 1014145. The Devon and Dartmoor HER also includes an entry for this row; see MDV14776 (Alignment).

The stone row also features on Prehistoric Dartmoor Walks - see their entries for the Drizzlecombe N.E. Stone Row and the Drizzlecombe Ceremonial Complex (Photos 1).

The Stone Rows of Great Britain includes a page for Drizzlecombe 2. SRoGB also explores the restricted sea views along this row - see Sea Views at Drizzlecombe 2 for more information.
