Hillfort in East Dunbartonshire

This small Iron Age hillfort occupies the summit of a hill above Twechar, just south of the Antonine Wall and east of the Bar Hill Roman fort. The ramparts of the hillfort are still partly distinguishable, especially in its northern part. The ditch of the Antonine Wall which runs north of the hillfort is in good condition.

Canmore entry.
