Description of worship and ritual
Item Description: Set imposing granite blocks 50 meters long: a staircase was carved by man in rock. At the top, there are many bowls.
Description of worship assembly Place, confabulations, sacrifice. This rock has the power to cut through the storm clouds and protect nearby locations.
Name and description of the legend:
The devil, they say, went looking for this stone in a distant country with the intent to shut the door of the church of La Roche. The good Lord had promised him that if he could do it before the bell rang, all who were in the church belong to him. The summons sounded during the journey, he sank his burden where he was. Pits and ponds are the footprints of his shoulders or trademarks of their efforts, in his anger, he had to recover. Close by, at a place called the Rebraiement, where the devil is retiring after his disappointment, we hear sometimes at night, grow fearful cries. Information and Pictures: patrimoinedumorvan.org
