Rock Art in Dumfries and Galloway

This significant prehistoric rock art panel is located on the northern slope of Newlaw Hill. It was located in 1895, most of its surface is exposed. The motifs include cup-and-ring marks and cup-marks, among them cup with five rings. The panel is fenced around which makes it fairly easy to find it.

For more information see Canmore ID 64439 which adds: "are carved on the sloping face of a smooth rock outcrop, c. 200 yds S of the by-road opposite the entrance to Auchengool house, exactly on line between Auchengool farm and the OS triangulation point."

Also see Canmore event 728054.
