1, West Camus Road submitted by golux : View from West Camus Road looking across to Camus Avenue. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Modern stone circle in the garden of No.1, West Camus Road, Edinburgh, erected in 1999 or 2000, consisting of 12 upright slabs, some engraved with Pictish symbols by sculptor James MacCaulay. The ground in and around is covered with gravel and scattered with fragments of slate which also bear Pictish symbols.

Outside the circle is another upright slab, a copy of an Ubster gravestone carved with Pictish symbols on both sides.
The Canmore record for this site includes the fanciful claim "the stone circle is a copy of a Pictish stone circle" but there are no stone circles erected by the Picts.

Why is that when I submit photographs they inevitably appear in reverse order, thereby ruining the effect I was after? And why is that when I remember to submit them all in reverse order as I did with the above photos (I even numbered the files 3, 2 and 1 to make this clear), they perversely appear in the same reverse order? It is a small point but is has spoilt many of my submissions.

Hi golux, we can't actually change the order of the submitted photos, the most recent ones are always at the top, except for the main photo. I mostly assume that the first photo sent is to be the main photo (as in this case?) but sometimes I put what I think is the catchiest photo as the main one (and also landscape ones are often better than large portrait ones). If you'd like one of the others to be the main one, please let us know.

Hi and thanks for responding to my moaning. I think the best layout is usually to put the widest view first to show the whole site and the setting, before showing details in some kind of logical order, - hence I would have preferred the photos in reverse of the order shown.

"the widest view first" - done.
