Cave or Rock Shelter in The West
Lovelock Cave is perhaps one of the most important archaeological sites of the western U.S..
It was inhabited from 2500 BCE to 1000 BCE. Many artifacts have been found there. Unfortunately, in the first decades of the 20th century guano miners removed some 250 tons of material. So many artifacts were probably destroyed.
