Legis Tor Cairns
Legis Tor Cairns submitted by theCaptain : Legis Tor Cairn 2 has its cist still well defined by two side stones; its capstone offset to the south, and much of its encircling kerb still present. View here north of west (Vote or comment on this photo)
On the south facing slopes to the east of Legis Tor, uphill from the eastern part of the settlement, can be found the remains of two fairly small cisted cairns about 4 metres in diameter.

Cairn 2 for which the grid ref is given, is the only one I visited and has its cist still well defined by the two side stones; its capstone offset to the south, and much of its encircling kerb still present.

Cairn 1 is the furthest to the east, and has only one side and one end of the cist remaining in place, with the other stones fallen and moved.

Update November 2019: This cairn, the same as thecaptain's cairn 2 at SX 57394 65481, is featured on the Prehistoric Dartmoor Walks (PDW) website - see their entry for the Legis Tor, West Platform Cairn Circle and Cist.

This cairn is also recorded as Pastscape Monument No. 438692, and as MDV3354 (Cairn in the parish of Sheepstor) on the Devon and Dartmoor HER.

Both cairns are scheduled as part of Historic England List Entry No. 1019876 (Prehistoric settlement, three round cairns and a post-medieval rabbit warren at Legis Tor).
