Natural Stone in Saarland

On the top of the Malafelsen (Mala rock =court rock), probably an germanic Thing place (court site) was situated. In the 11th century aristocrats/district magistrates built a small castle on the top platform of the rock. It is one of the oldest and smallest castles in Saarland.
