The Bamble stone is about 3 metres high and around 40cm wide. It has a square-shaped cross section and was discovered inside the foundation wall of the old priest farm.
When the wall fell down by an accident in 1954, the stone was taken out and replaced just outside the church ruin of the old bamble church. Nobody could remember exactly the original position.
