Dun and settlement in Caithness. Ruins of an Iron Age dun and settlement are located on a small hill, west from Forse House. Remains of an entrance, few steps of a staircase and intra-mural features are still perfectly distinguishable. Probably the dun is older then the nearby brochs, E.W. MacKie interprets remains of archetypical long houses as possible evidence for continental influences in Caithness.

Around the dun there are remains of a field system (originally surrounded with a bank, now completely mutilated) and significant number of hut circles.

It is not easy to reach Wag of Forse. There is no real footpath leading to it, the best choice is to leave your car near Forse House and reach Usshilly Tulloch broch - from this point you have to head SW.
