Eldon (Durham) submitted by colint : A stone that caught my attention when walking the field in which the previous stones had been excavated. This stone was beside a gate about 50m above the C&C stone and had probably been cleared from the adjacent field to the hedge line. The farmer did not recollect anything about this stone. Eldon (Durham) submitted by colint : Map dated after 1748 since it shows the Piercebridge to Durham turnpike on the right side of (Old) Eldon, but before 1822 when Eldon Blue was drawn on a map. This is one of 2 maps which show pencil marks indicating site of farm, the other map is dated 1792 shows the whole Estate and was probably drawn for the sale of the Estate using the probably earlier map (shown).     Thanks, is the location right now? It's preferable to submit UK sites using OS grid references rather than long/lat please.

54 38 23 N 1 38 31 W is more accurate but I don't seem to get the conversion right to decimal format.
