Rock Cut Tomb in Jordan About 100 Km' north of Aqaba on the Jordanian 'Arava road there is an ancient pass to the summit of the Edom mountain range via Wadi Masoudah to Rajef about 15 Km south of Petra. On a hill north of the road there is a lonely Nabataean rock cut tomb.

David Roberts RA (24 October 1796 – 25 November 1864) was a Scottish painter. He is especially known for a prolific series of detailed prints of Egypt and the Near East that he produced during the 1840s from sketches he made during long tours of the region (1838–1840). This work, and his large oil paintings of similar subjects, made him a prominent Orientalist painter. He was elected as a Royal Academician in 1841.He visited the place in 1839 and painted the rock, so it got the name "David Roberts Rock"
David Roberts thought that the tomb was a guard tower.

Note: Moti has just returned from a trip to Jordan, here and Beidha were the first places he visited

I well recall completing 2 cycle challenges in this magical area of this Holy Lands and being photographed atop of this rock at sunset with a full moon rising.
