Bwa Gwyn submitted by guile : Bwa Gwyn - White Arch (Vote or comment on this photo)
This superb natural arch [Bwa Gwyn means White Arch] is comprised of white quartzitic rocks showing massive fractures and deep weathering. There is access to the top of the arch; previously china clay was quarried here.

The grindstone used to extract the clay is still there in this scenic workshop precariously perched on top of the arch itself!

There are massive flute casts to be seen in the roof of a sea cave adjacent to Bwa Gwyn, these can be accessed by the bold with an easy scramble.

A short walk on the headland to the north of Bwa Gwyn there is another natural arch; this one is called Bwa Du or Black Arch.

The cliff edges here are very dangerous - especially in the wet, as they curve gently downwards to sheer drops.
