This lovely cairn dates from the Bronze Age and is pretty new when it comes to the Kilmartin landscape. Hidden away in some trees just of the beaten track with its two kists, this Cairn has a lot to offer with its large Kists and its rock art of axeheads and possibly a caving of a boat in one of these kists!!
This cairn is recorded as Canmore ID 39456, which adds that the cairn sits about 6 feet above the level of the surrounding marsh. Today the cairn is largely reconstructed, and is sited 200 metres south of Ri Cruin and can be accessed by a signposted path from the public highway. The Canmore record contains a detailed description and a publication account from 1985.
