Photos can be scored for visual, archaeological merit or indeed any other reason you like. Congratulations to all, as well as the kudos of having won out of all those photos, you have all won books from our Online Shop.
There are some more Highly Commended photos with good scores that I thought you'd like to see:

Kercadoret dolmen by Martin L
Thanks as always to everyone who voted and entered. Just as a recap, each month all the photos submitted to the Megalithic Portal have a chance to win by being voted on by you, the Megalithic Portal visitors and contributors.
There is still time to vote on the October, November and December competitions. We will be announcing the results of the October 2011 competition soon.
Please do vote and comment on any photos that particularly catch your eye. A vote from any person will start off the scoring - and remember that you are allowed to vote for your own photos once if you would like to put them forward. Equally you do not have to have your photos rated or voted on if you don't want to. Please contact Andy B if you do not want to take part.
More details on the monthly photo competitions are here.
