SandyG visited on 21st Aug 2018 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 4 Access: 3 Car parking is available at SO 14667 57391. From here walk north east along the road verge to SO 14759 57445. Carefully cross the road and walk up the farm road which takes you straight to the row.

Stone Row (Alignment) in Powys

These four stones which are located close to the Four Stones stone circle may possibly a stone row. It has been mistaken as a four poster stone circle.

Update October 2019: This stone row is featured on the Stone Rows of Great Britain website - see their entry for Bryn-y-Maen, which includes a description, photographs of the alignment and the individual stones, a plan of the row with its associated cairn rom a recent survey in August 2019, access information, and links to other online resources for more information.

The row is also recorded as Coflein NPRN 24592 (Four Stones, Pillow Mound; Bryn-y-Maen, Stone Alignment).

Both Coflein and Aubrey Burl have this site named as Bryn-y-Maen, the Os 1;25,000 also has the name four stones by it, perhaps the stone pointed out by Shropshire Traveller is not involved with the row.

This is NOT to be confused with the Four Stones nr Old Radnor / Walton; and there are 5 stones... look closely!
