There are intermittent kerb stones round the cairn up to 4 feet tall. As a starter before the Nine Stones of Boskednan it is very satisfying.

Boskednan A
Boskednan A submitted by AngieLake : This view of the 'destroyed barrow'/cairn near Carn Galva, shows its alignment with Ding Dong mine on the horizon. Boskednan circle is on slightly lower ground not far from here, and on an alignment between the 'barrow'/cairn and the mine building. The flat sides of the pointed stones face north/south. (This pic was taken at 4pm in March 2004). The stones sit on a higher ridge at 227m. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Kerbed Cairn in Cornwall

From Pastscape:

"A barrow up to 1.3m high, 14.0m overall diameter but with part of a retaining circle 10.0m in diameter. There is a central excavation pit and between this and the W edge is a flat stone 1.5m by 0.6m which may be the capstone of a cist."

Boskednan A submitted by AngieLake : We really ought to have a picture of this huge tin mine building on Meg P. Ding Dong mine is visible from virtually all over Penwith, and has been referred to quite often in comments, and this summer I finally walked right up to it! Boskednan A submitted by AngieLake : Ding Dong mine, just a few hundred yards from this cairn near Boskednan. It's visible from all over Penwith, and it would be a shame not to visit it while you have the opportunity.

Boskednan A
Boskednan A submitted by AngieLake : This eye-catching stone is in what first appears to be a small circle, near the footpath to Boskednan from Men an Tol. According to the OS map (Explorer 102) it is a 'Tumuli', (near "Carn Galver"). It is on the higher ground (its own little ridge - 227m), and seems to point to the right of Carn Galva, on the left of picture, and more towards the knobby outcrop of granite in the right distance.
