A Stone Row in the Highland

Update October 2019: Information about this row comes from the Stone Rows of Great Britain website - see their entry for Groat’s Loch, North (Broughwhin III), which includes a description, photographs of the alignment and some of the individual stones, plus access information.

The row is also recorded as Canmore ID 9023 and as MHG2189 (Stone Rows, Broughwin) on the Highland HER.

The SRoGB tells us: "A probable double stone row measuring 34m long, including at least 15 small-sized stones situated on a wide south facing terrace overlooking the sea. The row is orientated NNW to SSE and because of dense vegetation has not been seen for some time". SRoGB adds: "Double rows are unusual in Northern Scotland".
