Double Stone Row in Devon

Information about this now destroyed row comes from the Stone Rows of Great Britain website - see their entry for Bray Common, which tells us: "(this was) a wide double stone row (or avenue) that measured 19.5m long, including 4 small and medium-sized stones situated on a hilltop. The row was orientated north east to south west and led from a substantial barrow which still survives".

The Stone Rows of Great Britain entry also includes a plan of the stone row (from Chanter and Worth, 1905, plate 8), showing its relationship to the large barrow. The row is also recorded as Pastscape Monument No. 35014 and on the Exmoor National Park HER: see MDE1189 (Prehistoric stone row on Bray Common).

The SRoGB website also gives a list of online resources for further information. The barrow has its own separate site page; see Seta Barrow (or 'nearby sites' below).
