It is a splendid box cist, with internal dimensions 1.3 m by 1 m, with the side slabs being about 1.8 metres in length. It is quite deep, but not easy to tell how much, as it is full of stuff.
Update September 2019: This cist is featured on the Prehistoric Dartmoor Walks (PDW) website - see their entrires for the Drizzlecombe Cist and the Drizzlecombe Ceremonial Complex (Photos 1).
The cist is also recorded as Pastscape Monument No. 438532, which tells us: "Internally it measures 0.9m (wide) by 0.6m and a maximum 0.65m deep. It is oriented north-west/south-east and its top is 0.25m above (ground level); there is no trace of a coverstone". Pastscape adds that a vague stoney spread around the cist may "represent vestiges of a cairn".
The Devon and Dartmoor HER also has an entry for this cist; see MDV3363 (Cairn with a cist north-east of Drizzlecombe). It is also scheduled as Historic England List ID 1010653 (Cairn with a cist north-east of Drizzlecombe). Historic England confirms the mound in which the cist is located is 4m in diameter, with a height of 0.25m, adding: "the cist is orientated south-east/north-west and is 1.18m in length 0.9m in width and 0.6m in depth. It was excavated in 1914, when charcoal was found in it".
