Located in the valley, north of the river, this would have been a pleasant, peaceful spot, within sight of the stone rows.

Drizzlecombe cist 22
Drizzlecombe cist 22 submitted by TheCaptain : To the south of the main Drizzlecombe sites can be found this cairn with cist. The possible capstone is displaced to the west. Viewed here looking southeast towards Shavercombe. (Vote or comment on this photo)
To the south of the main Drizzlecombe sites can be found this cairn with cist. There is not much of the cairn surviving, but a good cist exists, standing proud of the ground.

There are two large side slabs almost two metres in length, spaced about one metre apart. The end stones are fairly small, and the possible capstone is displaced to the west.

Some fragments of pottery were found here when it was excavated by Worth.

Update July 2019: This cist is recorded as Pastscape Monument No. 438635 and scheduled as Historic England List ID 1010656. The Devon and Dartmoor HER also includes and entry for this cist; see MDV3340 (Cist south-west of 'Giant's Basin' in Drizzlecombe Valley, Sheepstor).

The cist also features on the Prehistoric Dartmoor Walks (PDW) website - see their entrries for the Drizzlecombe South Cist and the Drizzlecombe Ceremonial Complex (Photos 1).
