St Peter (Addingham)
St Peter (Addingham) submitted by Mountwarren : Stepped cross base St Peters Addingham. Visited 7th Nov 2012. The column in the centre is a sundial, later addition. (Vote or comment on this photo)
In addition to the 10th century cross inside the church of St Peter's in Addingham, West Yorkshire, there are two other cross bases in the churchyard. The first is a medieval cross base (pictured top), partly buried in the ground. The cross shaft has been replaced by a 19th century sundial. See Historic England List ID 1012876.

The second is a medieval socket stone described here. Rich32 has posted a 3D model of this below.

It is thought this may be the original cross base for the cross inside the church, but rich32 reports that it is a little loose (see comments below). Pastscape records the stone as being 28m south-east of the south-eastern corner of the church.

St Peter (Addingham) submitted by Mountwarren : Stepped cross base, St Peters Addingham. Visited 7th Nov 2012. Surprisingly for an otherwise well maintained graveyard this monument is Very much neglected. Overgrown with grass and the later addition of a sundial covered in ivy. (Vote or comment on this photo)

There are actually two separate cross bases in St Peters churchyard.

1. The medieval socket stone described here; https://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?uid=616472&resourceID=19191

2. The stepped base with an addition of a more recent sundial here;

Possible base for the Anglo Saxon cross currently residing in St Peter's Church. The high res version of this model revealed a number of spirals.
