Anta de Pendilhe
Anta de Pendilhe submitted by Alta-Falisa : I confess that the photo by João Carvalho, July 2005, is far superior to my modest contribution. While there myself (March 2015), I met a shepherd. It was very heart-warming to realise how pleased he was to see a foreigner, speaking some kind of broken Portuguese, showing so much interest for a monument along which he passes every day. From Alta-Falisa:
A few young trees have been recently planted, the site is looked after. And rightly, as Orca de Pendilhe, so quiet and serene and majestic, ranks among the most striking sites I have visited in North Portugal.

Signposted "Orca de Pendilhe" along the road N.225. From there, accessible by car on a ca. 800 m long earth road.

Visited Orca de Pendilhe today. Easy to find. Trees have been planted on the site. Very beautiful indeed. A must visit for history lovers.
