I spent some time looking for this site without success. I followed the sign from the road, walked about a kilometre or more along a trail, past a flock of sheep (with a dozing large Marema sheep dog who awoke to tell me off as I passed through the flock) and down towards the river where the old Systema de Identification de Parcelas Agricolas 1:23500 map marked the site, got into some very swampy land, then walked to the GPS reference given on this Meg Portal site but neither led me to the dolmen. The photos show that the site may be somewhat buried, so I may have passed close by without realising it. Having spent an hour I walked back to the road keeping north of the dog and its flock of sheep and moved on to the the next site. Back in NZ I subsequently came across this site which gives good directions: http://www.visit-western-spain.com/cubic/ap/cubic.php/doc/Dolmen-of-Lacara-136.htm

I sometimes think that the sites you spend ages searching for, and failing to find, provide the more memorable occasions!
