Ston Easton Barrow
Ston Easton Barrow submitted by thecaptain : Ston Easton Barrow. For somewhere beside such a busy road, I think this picture gives a wonderful sense of timelessness, and "being away fromit all". (Vote or comment on this photo)
Beside the A37, just to the north of the village of Ston Easton is to be seen this nice round barrow, in a field just beside the road, at a crossing of farm tracks.

The barrow is about 20 metres in diameter, and 3 metres high, and can be seen to consist of stones.

Ston Easton Barrow
Ston Easton Barrow submitted by thecaptain : Ston Easton Barrow as seen from the A37. I have driven past this barrow hundreds of times and regularly thought I ought to pay it a proper visit. Travelling home from my friends the Shepto Steptoe's the morning after Wells Carnival it was wonderfully sunny, and I had my camera. This is the view from the roadside.
