Ancient Village or Settlement in Crete
Due to the Eastern end of Crete sinking, Olous is now submerged with only a few walls visible above the sea. When snorkelling though, a number of houses can be seen together with the old harbour wall. The city is Minoan and ancient writers recorded it had a population of over 40,000.

I have heard many stories of divers bringing up artifacts (illegally) and have seen the remains of amphora in this area, but I have not heard of any archaeological surveys of the underwater area.

Minoan cities normally had two harbours facing in different directions to facilitate sailing with different winds, but no-one has ever found Olous' second harbour.
