The 4 metre long by 3 metre wide capstone has now broken into two bits, still sitting on its two crumbling 4 metre long side supports. It has a nice backstone and remains of a front entry stone, with the chamber facing east at 110°. It is found a couple of hundred metres along a signposted footpath in a lovely oak forest.

This, the first dolmen you reach, is quite a nice dolmen, but starting to deteriorate, which is supposedly only in the last 100 years, probably due to all the visitors it gets. The 4 metre long, 3m wide capstone has broken into two bits, still sitting on its two crumbling 4 metre long side supports, with an orientation of 110°. The back stone is still in position, and there are remains of a front entry stone.
I didn’t find an dolmens de Bois-del-Rey with higher numbers, but expect they are there somewhere if you look.
Just a couple of dozen metres from dolmen de Bois-del-Rey 1, is a large flat slab of rock with a 40 cm diameter, 10 cm deep circular basin cut into it. Its purpose is completely unknown, but no doubt in some way is connected with the local dolmens.
johnstone added:
The supports are 4.80m and 3.60m long.
A second dolmen (du Bois del Rey #2) can be found in the wood at about 550 m north-east of this one.
This spot is the first megalith of “Parcours des Dolmens de Martiel”
