The tomb is situated on the large graveyard of Neuenwalde (Clemens-August-Dorf). The chamber of the passage grave lies deep in the remains of the ransacked barrow, only the capstones are visible (and the tops of a few uprights with some difficulty). The place is overgrown now (2007), but was quite nice some years ago when i visited it the first time (1990).

If you arrive by car you can use its extremly large parking. From the main entrance of the graveyard ca. 50m to the left there is a small meadow with a quite large blackberry-bush on it.

Except from 2 stones nearby, all other remains of the tomb are overgrown by this bush or hidden in the earth: the western part of a chambered tomb originally 28,5m [1]. Ca. 12m are partly preserved. 5 capstones are visible and look as if they are nearly in situ. The chamber lies deep in the earth and even the tops of the uprights are hardly visible/invisible now (this was more easy in 1990, when the site was not that overgrown. Unfortunately I have no photos from that visit).

The current site description deals with a possible complete destruction of this site. In November 2007 I took an opportunity to visit the site and take some photos to show, that this fear is fortunately unfounded (to a certain extent).
The tomb is situated on the large graveyard of Neuenwalde (Clemens-August-Dorf).

No, it is not destroyed. It is still there. Maybe the given coordinates are wrong. Take the Map in the Sprockhoff-Atlas and you will find it on the local graveyard. It is also referred to as SPROCKHOFF 979. The chamber of the passage grave lies deep in the remains of the ransacked barrow, only the capstones are visible (and the tops of a few uprights with some difficulty). The place is overgrown now (2007), but was quite nice some years ago when i visited it the first time (1990).
