Chambered Tomb in Lower Saxony, Bremen

16 Meters long by 4 Meters wide East West oriented chambered tomb dating to between 3500 and 2500 BCE. 69 Meters altitude. Excellent uprights in situ. Some superb capstones. Traces of Perimeter stones and tumulus. Part of Steingräberweg Giersfeld (Stone tomb hiking path) with about a dozen monuments set up by local council near local golf course.

Capstone C1 (counting from the West) is preserved almostin situ. The site has been abused as a quarry in historic times. C2 and C6 are fallen, C5 turned, but still rests on its orthostats. Due to the historic destruction attempts orthostats S7 and N8 are fallen towards the chambers' inside. Four capstones are robbed as well as probably all kerbstones of the oval enclosure.
