It was rainy and windy outside, but when I went inside, it was so peaceful and quiet. It felt amazing to be surrounding all around by stones. I felt connected to the stones. It is such a place of peace. This would be a good place to go if you needed to make an important decision and needed clarity. The energy inside the center is amazing and felt totally sacred to me. I highly recommend visiting inside alone. You have to squat and walk to get to the inside passage for part of the way.

Grey Cairns of Camster : Chambered Round Cairn
Grey Cairns of Camster : Chambered Round Cairn submitted by PaulH : Camster round cairn. Camster long cairn was constructed by linking two round cairns like this together. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Chambered Cairn in Highlands. An Orkney-Cromarty type round cairn, 60' in diameter and 12' high, virtually intact, with a particularly fine chamber. It is the prototype and eponym of the Camster cairns and is one of the group of three cairns known as the ' Grey Cairns of Camster'. Excavation in 1865 produced flint implements, an iron knife-blade, and pottery.

Grey Cairns of Camster : Chambered Round Cairn submitted by jeffrep : The Camster Round Cairn can be found beside an unclassified single track road which heads in an almost straight line due north from the A99 near Lybster before emerging on the A882 near Watten. It and the nearby Camster Long Cairn are a little over five miles from Lybster and some eight miles from Watten. A wooden boarded path leads from the roadside to the round cairn, then from it to the long ca...
