Il-Hagra tad-Dawwara
Il-Hagra tad-Dawwara submitted by enkidu41 : This menhir was found in 1935 lying under 9' of soil and over a 3,200 sqare feet cobbled floor. There has been no excavation of the site and the stone is of uncertain antiquity. It is over 14' high and roughly 2' square in cross-section. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Standing Stone (Menhir) in Gozo.

On the southwestern outskirts of Victoria in Gozo this dressed block of limestone is 4.5 metres high with an approximate square cross-section measuring .64 metres by .61 metres. It was found in 1935 lying under 2.7 metres of soil and over a cobbled floor about 300 square metres in area. No proper excavation has been carried out and its purpose and antiquity are not known.
