Round Barrow(s) in Lincolnshire

Burgh le Marsh Barrow was found to contain an inhumation with an associated bronze buckle slide, dated to the late 6th or early 7th century. A number of microlith cores and flakes were also recovered, A microlith, four blades, three flakes and a blade core were found during excavation, A stone battle axe was also found nearby, Therefore showing the site of the mound to be in use since prehistoric times, It's believed the mound was changed in the post-medieval period for cock-fighting.
