Approximately 2.4m tall, this is a thin slab with a pronounced tilt towards the south.

Take the A917 from St Andrews east towards Kingsbarns. About 500m before the village is a farm road running SSW. Turn in here, and about 300m in on the right side is a track running ENE parallel with the A917. Park here carefully, and proceed up the track until you see an open gate. The stone is in plain sight.

I could discern no markings of any kind on it.

Re: Boarhills by Anonymous on Saturday, 11 March 2017
This stone seems to have fallen over due to heavy rains and snapped about 9 years ago (writing in 2017) the top part seems to have been re-sited at the roadside of the field next to the road in a gap in the hedge and can easilly be seen on Google maps: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@56.3126203,-2.7192343,3a,75y,209.94h,69.02t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1smPcdVTZA8g4rM3uVSQ6n8g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1
