This stone is situated near Alyth. The stone is over 2 metres tall, and has no distinguishing marks, but is quite dramatic as it leans to the south.

Taking the A926 east from Alyth, through Ruthven and the village of Airlie, it is immediately visible to the right, highlighted against the sky. There is a convenient farm gate nearby, which can be parked in short term.

Airlie Standing Stone - this is the view which you're going to see if you're following A926 from the West.

The Airlie Standing Stone at NO-321502 in Angus lies just south of the A926 just to the East of the village. Unfortunately crops in the field meant I couldn't get close back it looked to be well over 6 feet tall with good views over the Carse of Gowrie.

We live at Philpie,Airlie,If Cosmic had views over the Carse of Gowrie he must have X-ray vision,it is over the Sidlaw hills and approx.10 miles as the crow flies from us.Surely he means the Howe of Strathmore No comment has been made about our stone circle next to the A926,but please do not just wander into our field ,speak to us first and we will ensure your are kept safe from the livestock.
