Stone Circle in Perthshire with two outlying stones to the north-north-east.

From Aberfeldy take the A827 west towards Kenmore. About 6 kilometres along this road on the left (south side) is a small road leading to Tullichuil farm. Park carefully at this entrance, and there is a gate leading in to the field on the west side of the road. The circle is plainly visible from here. Ensure the gate is shut properly as there are often sheep in the field. There is a good information board here outlining the history of the site, which has three distinct phases. Initially fourteen wooden posts were erected in a horseshoe shape approximately 8m x 7m, open to the SSW. These were later replaced by eight stones between 0.8m and 1.4m high.

A bank encloses the stones. On this bank, to the SSW, lies a 2m long stone with over twenty cupmarks on it. This stone is aligned with the southern moonset. Finally, a 12m diameter circle of twelve stones, all about 1.7m high, was erected around the horseshoe. To the ESE 5.5m outside the circle, two stones stand 2.5m apart making an entrance. The northern stone is apparently aligned with the equinoctial sunrise.
