South Lediken
South Lediken submitted by megalithicmatt : South Lediken cairn from the south west. (Vote or comment on this photo)
A smallish cairn enclosed by a drystane dyke and a copse of trees at the border between three fields. It is completely turfed over with no stones visible but is recognisable by its shape. The cairn has views over to Bennachie, Tap O' Noth, Foudland and Dunnideer.

Quite a lonely but beautiful place.

RCAHMS details here

Access from Insch: head north and turn onto the Whitehall road on the left past the entrance to Drumrossie House. Go along this for over a kilometre until Whitehall farm appears on the right. The road carries on behind the farm, turning behind it to the right and onto a newer track heading south. Cut across the edge of the field to the east and head for the clump of trees past the road at the other end.
