The Heiligers Brunnen is a spring in Hannover (Lower Saxony/Germany). Its water is enriched in sulfur and is of general high quality. The name itself suggests to be a variation of "heilig" ("holy"). However, it is more likely that it refers to the mayor Ernst Anton Heiliger (1729-1803), who managed to market this site as a spa, which lasted until the 20th century, when the well nearly fell dry.
