Passage Grave in North Jutland (Nordjylland)
Large passage grave still surrounded by remains of its round barrow (diameter 20m, height 2m). A lateral passage is partly preserved, 5 orthostats are still in place. The chamber is built of 14 orthostats and well preserved except for the capstones. All of them are missing. The chamber measures 8m x 2,5m and is orientated NE-SW. It was restored in 1949/50.
The site is situated in a field, so access is limited. In April 1992 it was possible to walk along a narrow uncultivated strip between two fields to access this damaged, but still impressive site.
A round barrow containing a perfectly preserved small passage-grave (SB 120511-28) is immediately NNE of this site.
