CharcoalBurner89 visited on 30th May 2021 - their rating: Cond: 4 Amb: 4 Access: 3 There are over 70 tumuli of various sizes from different eras on the site. The oldest finds can be dated to 5000 BC. In addition, there are many finds from the Bronze Age (3700 to 2700 BC) and from the Iron Age. Various hand tools and grave goods were found during excavations.

Barrow cemetery inside a small woodland South of Goldbeck - Rahms road. Consisting of at least 70 barrows.

One is located further to the west. 36m above sea level.

The official name is, as you can see on the photo from the information board: 'Goldbecker Hügelgräberheide'. Perhaps we can correct that.
