Carschenna
Carschenna submitted by SolarMegalith : Cups with multiple rings on the most complex panel in Carschenna - view from the west (photo taken on August 2014). (Vote or comment on this photo)
The prehistoric rock art in Carschenna was discovered in 1965. There are seven carved rocks - majority of the motifs are cup-and-ring marks (including the one with ten rings, one of the largest in Europe), but there are also some animal motifs, including a horse with rider.

The dating of these carvings is unsure, but they are likely to be Neolithic or Early Bronze Age. On one of the rocks there are motifs of crosses, possibly of medieval period.

You can access the rock art in Carschenna with a marked trail which starts at a parking lot near the eastern entrance to the road tunnel east of Thusis. The first rock (arriving from the east) is most extensively decorated, it bears complex cup-and-ring marks (including the ten-ringed cup). The other carved rocks are located alongside the same footpath, overlooking a steep slope.
