Tomb cut in a rock in a meadow. It is located about 50 metres from the Maira River and next to the road that leads through the Valley. In local Italian language this kind of tomb is called Masso-Avello. The lid is missing. Dimensions 192 x 82 cm, 58 cm depth.
The Masso-Avello excavated from east to west presents at the east end of the bottom a small cushion.
It dates to the 5th or 6th Century AC. The tomb was found in March 1909, empty, recently cleaned.
Another tomb of this kind can be seen in Monteceneri-Rivera, Canton of Ticino. The one in Rovio, also Canton of Ticino, was unfortunately destroyed.
