Aleria is well worth a visit. It is a Roman settlement in ruin and you can walk freely around the site within the limits of its opening times. Best to check these before you visit as it can be irritating to travel there and miss this interesting place because you are outside the times.
The museum is small in size but crammed with interesting artefacts, principally pottery. There was a very interesting guided visit when we went which we hitched into but I don't know if this is regular. There is a charge to enter but it is not excessive.
There is a small independent cafe on site selling coffee and alcoholic drinks, an authentic place.
