The Hammah Steingrab IV (Sprockhoff 655) is a megalithic tomb in Hammah (Lower Saxony/Germany).

The tomb is covered with a mound. Parts of a burial chamber were visible during preliminary excavations, which took place after the systematic excavation of the Hammah megalithic tombs 1-3 by Jacob-Friesens (1921). One capstone was visible as well as two putative orthostats. It is unclear whether the rest of the burial chamber was destroyed or is still hidden in the ground.

Thank you for the information. I had found the coordinates in OpenStreetMaps (53.6304668, 9.3832805). However, the information table of this site entry there already states that the coordinates may not be exact.
I have changed the coordinates to the ones you had suggested.

I see. And thanks for setting up the site page. I had forgotten about it completely. :) But now I will have a look at the photos i took during the visit. I recall, that wellies were quite useful to approach the spot. But this goes mostly for all sites in this area. Except for summertime perhaps.

Sprockhoff 655 (This is the position marked in Sprockhoff's Atlas) . I visited some years ago though failed to detect any clear hints of the tomb. But the tomb may still exist as most megalithic tombs in that area have been overgrown by moorland. So even the mounds are mostly at ground level nowadays.
